Children's Ministry
Our children are taught that Jesus is a very special friend who
loves them.
Sunday morning is a time of learning about the Bible, making
crafts, and spending time with friends. Wednesday night is important; our kids
meet for Awanas.
College/Young Adult's
The Young Adult ministry at South Oak Ridge is an important and
vital area to our church family. While many students are away from the church attending school, many are
still at home either studying at local schools or beginning a career.
Our students have participated in Summer Mission projects around the
world, sharing the Gospel with hundreds. Some of the mission
sights of the past have included Australia , China , Alaska , Colorado ,
Pennsylvania , and South Carolina . The summer of 2005 will lead
students to throughout the United States and around to world to Africa .
Prayer is a vital role at South Oak Ridge and prayer is very
important.

the women can discuss personal issues and build lasting friendships with those
in the same stages of life. Our women have two mission organizations which meet
monthly: Baptist Women
meet during the day and Women on Missions mee t in the evening. Our ladies also
conduct a weekly Interactive Bible Study on Thursday at 7:00 PM. |
Men's Ministry
The Men's
Ministry vision is to reach men with the Gospel message while they grow in their walk with Christ. Our men build churches, assist in
disaster relief, and help those in need. Meetings are held the first Saturday of
each month at 7:00 AM at Ace's Restaurant.

Senior Adult Ministry

reach adults over the age of 60 for Christ and to assist them in Christian
maturity. We seek to do this
through Sunday School, special programs, and socials. Each month our seniors
travel to breakfast, shopping, and great historical sites. |

study, crafts, games, songs, and FUN! Children are taught the importance of
friends and family and how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
